The Suffolk County Lawmen won the 2023 Mid Major Division in the USSSA Police World Series in Las Vegas on October 7th. This double elimination tournament featured 78 Law Enforcement from the United States and Canada. Suffolk battled to a walk off win against the Miami Metro Dawgs in the winners bracket finals. They then faced Miami again in the “If” game of the tournament Finals. Miami jumped out to an early lead , but Suffolk battled back to take the lead in the top of the seventh inning and then held Miami scoreless in the bottom of the seventh to seal the Championship with a 25 to 24 win. The majority Suffolk Lawmen play in the Brookhaven Adult Softball program in both the Summer and Fall programs on the Barrasso / Lawmen team. The following players received these individual awards:

John Gilliam, Mid Major MVP
Jamie Torres, All World Team
Alex PorcillO, All World Team
Billy Boyd, All World Team
Ken Defelice , Pat Hill Inspiration Award
Nick Bredy, Defensive MVP
